During our (Dr. Vaibhav Deshmukh, Adesh Shivkar, Shashank Dalvi, Animish Mandrekar, Pallavi Joshi & Mandar Khadilkar) visit to Kutch, Gujrat, India at Jakhau, we saw 7 Phalaropes.
But among them one individual was larger in size, its eye strip was not downcurved and more gray/white in look. Almost all features matched with Red/Grey Phalarope in non-breeding (winter) plumage. But there is no recent record (last seen was in year 1846) of Red Phalarope from India, hence we would like to have comments from experts on this.
